Man United are missing out on £87million per year in additional revenue,
Digital membership schemes (£35m), streaming services (£19m),
and virtual matchday experiences (£33m) have been identified as three sectors from
which the Red Devils can unlock extra turnover.
Commercial experts have also zeroed in on the US market as a key growth area,
arguing that 12 major clubs – including United
could generate an extra £320m annually from sports fans across the pond.
Those are the findings of CLV Group‘s Fan Relationship Index
which examines how clubs can maximise revenues globally by using data and insights on their fanbases.
It is argued that the likes of United can apply the same tools and expertise
which they use to monitor players to supercharge their commercial income.
